Skateboarding and Design are at the core of GoldCoast. These two things touch nearly every part of our lives.

Design is the language of our creativity, it is the starting point for all our products. We appreciate awareness of little details in our surroundings, our products, and our designs. Our enthusiasm can not be contained. We want to share stories, ideas, sessions and trips with our peers, and want them to do the same with us. The end goal is to have fun. We don’t do what we do for trophies, fame, or titles, we take it easy. Seriously.

Obsessed, addicted and immersed in the mountains since 1983, I have written my life story around snowboarding. I have been all in from the beginning - hiking resorts before they allowed snowboards at age 9, all-night drives to Jackson Hole in high school to score first tram of the year, hiking all night to score a first descent at dawn. Becoming a pro snowboarder was not an optional career, there was no back-up plan. Now 26 years after stepping on my first snowboard I feel blessed to have been given the opportunities I have.

From riding some of the world’s wildest lines to the products I have helped create, it’s been an honor to be a part of snowboarding’s evolution. During this journey I have often focused on the performance of my equipment. How can we make this board better...rail an edge harder...weigh less without sacrificing durability? I founded Jones Snowboards in 2009 to find answers to these performance questions and make innovative backcountry snowboarding equipment that reflected this passion for technical progression. After four years of tweaking and obsessing over our designs, we are just starting to hit our stride. For 2013/2014, our lineup of boards and backpacks is truly the ultimate quiver with diverse board and pack designs perfect for

riding any terrain, in any condition, in-bounds or out. I stand behind the performance, quality and durability of our products by trusting my life to this equipment on every expedition. With our partners POW and 1% For The Planet, we also strive to be a leader in the fight against climate change and minimize the environmental footprint of our company whenever possible.

Snowboarding is not my job, it’s my life. Jones Snowboards is a natural evolution for me and all the gear we produce is born of my passion for snowboarding and wilderness exploration. Come experience the progression. Ride with me.

- Jeremy Jones

Skiing and snowboarding has always been a part of our lives, starting skiing at the age of 3 and eventually moving on to snowboarding in the late ’80s. Our first glimpse into backcountry exploration came about when we were in high school and had just started teaching snowboarding at Alpental Ski Area in Washington state. Since then we’ve been hooked.

Both Tyler and I have degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington, AASI Level III Snowboard Certifications, a combined 20 years of mechanical design experience and a lifetime of skiing and snowboarding. With our education and experience we have set out to push backcountry gear to the next level, starting with the Split30 splitboard system.

.

In August 2011,  we announced our  partnership with Jeremy Jones.  Jeremy’s backcountry experience and knowledge will help continue the evolution of the  Karakoram splitboard interface.

DCP, Romain, JP and Tadashi are about as eclectic a group of characters as you’re going to find. Their personalities are as unique as their accents, their hair, and their riding. But however different they are, they share a common passion and belief system: the search for undiscovered zones, scoring epic snow conditions, finding empty waves, re-uniting with old friends, making new ones—the path they’re on is constant and unchanging.

The brand was conceived and launched as an extension of this. It began from this shared passion and an unshakable trust in one another. (All the things a business coach would warn against.) But this was not the beginning of a cautionary tale; it was the beginning of a movement..

YES. moved people.

Whatever the eclectic, infectious energy these guys embody, it has spread. By the disciples that have carried the flag from Day One, when others doubted, it has spread.

YES. is about trust.

Trusting your friends.
Trusting your instincts.
Trusting your skills.
Trusting your decisions.
Trusting your partner(s).

A few years ago, Rüf walked away from his long time board sponsor in order to begin crafting his own boards. The fact that Rüf himself needs a board that can withstand even the most brutal sessions season over season inspires confidence in the quality of the boards he creates.

In tune with Gigi’s distinct style on snow, the SLASH by Gigi line features some of the most unique graphics around, one board in his premiere line even boasting artwork from artist Fabiana Arruda, who lives in the remote Atlantic rainforest of Itacaré, that in turn set the tone for his own series of pro boards. The same individuality that has made Rüf a vital part of the past and present of snowboarding can be found in the snowboards he crafts. Because, as Gigi notes.

NOW is focused on creating innovate, relevant technologies for today's snowboarders. We are as a rider-owned company, dedicated to improving snowboarding through our products and our beliefs.
